Account by a British scientist & explorer who accompanied Andersson on an expedition through Damaraland & Ovamboland, as well as an unsuccessful effort to reach Lake Ngami from the west. These expeditions were hailed on his return to England. He was responsible for many scientific developments & is known as the man who invented the word “Eugenics” [see lot #1].
