Lot #8/07 Travels and researches in Caffraria: describing the character, customs, and moral condition of the tribes inhabiting that portion of Southern Africa by Stephen Kay. The author was a Wesleyan missionary who founded a mission in Caffraria. Much of the book deals with the tribal people, their rituals, etc., but there is also plenty on the 1820 Settlers, who had arrived little more than ten years previously and gone quite a way to developing the colony.  SABIB, 2/731; MENDELSSOHN, 1/805; HOSKEN, p. 113. London, John Mason, 1833.
